BiP Has Been Updated! — Major Redesign in October 2026
Released in 2022Biologging intelligent Platform（BiP）...marked its fifth anniversary since its launch and underwent a major overhaul in October 2026.
In this update, we’ve added features that animate animal movement trajectories on a globe and update aggregated data daily. We’ve also enhanced the data search and viewing functions, the map showing all trajectories, and the live view feature. Additionally, we’ve created a new page for the general public, making the site accessible not only to researchers but to a wider audience.
Held at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies on October 8–9, 2026Symposium of the Japanese Society for Bio-Logging ResearchNext, Mr. Katsufumi Sato (Institute of Atmospheric and Oceanic Research, University of Tokyo) gave an oral presentation titled “BiP Has Been Updated!” in which he discussed the progress made over the four years since BiP’s release and the details of this latest update.
Be sure to check out the new BiP.
